The Oakland County Department of Economic Development is hosting this collaborative workshop to bring together residents, business owners, nonprofits, and community partners to co-create a vision for a thriving, inclusive, and sustainable visitor economy.
Come and help us answer questions like:
- How can we grow visibility for hometown events that we love?
- How do we better connect our great outdoor experiences?
- What’s the best way to market our communities authentically and effectively to various audiences (e.g., Metro Detroiters, Midwestern Explorers, International Visitors)?
- How do we support the long-term coordination and funding needed to manage tourism here?
This will not be a sit-and-listen session. Each workshop is interactive and hands-on, with opportunities to explore early insights from Oakland’s tourism diagnostic process and help shape the experiences, messages, and priorities that define our destination.
