Have you ever been interested in becoming an election inspector? It's a great way to give back to your community, see your neighbors, make a little money, and be engaged in the democratic process.

Oakland County hires for its Absent Voter Counting Board and 19 Early Voting sites. Pay and approximate hours are below:

Absentee Voter Counting Board

  • $160/day for Workers
  • 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. the Monday before the election
  • 7:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. on election day

Early Voting (occurs 9 consecutive days beginning the second Saturday before the election and ending on the Sunday before the election)

  • $230/day for Chairs
  • $190/day for Workers
  • 7:45 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
  • 11:15 a.m. – 8:30 p.m. THURSDAY ONLY
